Project Available Leave

Calculate the amount of FMLA leave that is currently available for a particular employee based on leave that has been previously scheduled.

 

A covered employer must grant an eligible employee up to a total of 12 workweeks of unpaid FMLA leave for qualifying reasons (or 26 weeks of FMLA military caregiver leave) during any 12-month period. Since FMLA leave may be taken in weeks, single days, hours, and in some cases even less than an hour, figuring out how much leave time an employee has remaining can be a daunting task.
